Lead Time
4-6 weeks after sample is approved and not including approval delays due to materials.
What I require from you
3D Models STEP or IGES files
Engineering drawing with basic dimensions
2D drawing (Digital or Paper) or DXF file of knife silhouette.
(If you are having a drawing turned into a CAD Drawing a DXF file for waterjet cutting can be provided.)
Pricing
A mandatory setup fee of $25 applies to each new project. This will include a fully machined sample pair(in natural micarta) to be sent to you for approval and basic computer and design services.
This will depend on your project and how complex it is. Things such as material machinability, machine time, and accommodation for hardware factor in. A basic handle in micarta, bored for pins with a simple arcing profile (see above photo) will start at $18 a pair plus materials.
Payment
Payment is required in full before work begins. Payment will be made via a invoice sent via email.
Confidentiality
Any proprietary designs, drawings, or information shared by Client shall remain confidential and not be disclosed by Contractor without written consent.
**Richard Custom Knives reserves the right to refuse templates, sketches, or drawings for any reason. Before any editing or drawing is started fees will be discussed with customer.**
